Lawyers appearing for the Narcotics Control Bureau are prepared with their argument to contest the bail plea of Aryan Khan. The prosecution will be filing their affidavit in reply to the bail plea of Khan, which even by Tuesday morning, was in its final stages of filing.

Former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi is in Mumbai to appear for actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who has been incarcerated since October 2 in a drugs case.

Khan has filed a bail plea in the Bombay High Court after his plea for bail was rejected by Mumbai Sessions Court last week.

Justice Nitin Sambre has a long list of 70 cases before him on Tuesday and Khan’s case is listed at serial number 57.

His friend, actor Arbaaz Merchant’s case is listed at 64 while another accused, Mumkin Dhanech’s bail plea, is listed at 58. It is said that Justice Sambre finishes hearing all cases that are placed before him for hearing.

In the High Court, before Justice Sambre, apart from Rohatgi, senior lawyer Amit Desai and Satish Maneshinde will also be appearing.

For the prosecution, additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, who has opposed the bail plea of Khan since the time it was pressed for in Magistrate Court, and then in Sessions court as well, will be appearing along with special public prosecutor Advait Sethna and Shreeram Shirsat.

Khan was arrested by the Narcotic Control Bureau on October 2 and produced in a holiday court on October 3, where they sought his remand for further investigation. As of now, there have been about 20 people who have been arrested in the case so far and all accused, including Khan, are in Arthur Road prison and other prisons in the city.
