After its launch in China last month, the OnePlus 9RT is much anticipated by OnePlus fans in India. While the exact details of its launch in the country are still awaited, new hints on the Internet suggest that the device may not come with its original name, and might instead be called the OnePlus RT in India.

The hints emerge from the recent listing of the OnePlus smartphone on the Google Supported Devices list and Google Play Listing website. As spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, the phone carries the model number OP5154L1 and has been seen earlier on the BIS certification website with the same moniker.

This suggests that OnePlus may rebrand the phone for its Indian audience to OnePlus RT. The phone has seen the light of the day as a successor to the OnePlus 9R that has been retailing across the globe since April this year. Though there are some distinctive features on the new smartphone, like a 120Hz OLED display and a triple-lens camera system at the back, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Other specifications which can be garnered from the recent listings suggest that the OnePlus 9RT or the OnePlus RT in India may sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, up to 12GB RAM and an Adreno 660 GPU. The device will likely come with Android 11 out of the box and will feature 2400×1080 pixels resolution on its display. A 480 DPI screen density has also been suggested through the listings.

Optics may remain the same as seen on the OnePlus 9RT Chinese variant, which means that the OnePlus 9RT will sport a triple-lens camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel Sony lens, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. At the front, there will likely be a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The device might be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

Earlier such speculations had suggested that the OnePlus 9RT will be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 44,000 in India. Though it should be noted that none of this information has officially been confirmed so far. We can expect to have a confirmation on the specifications and the price of the OnePlus smartphone in the coming days, as we near its India launch.
