Even as actor Suriya’s had been busy shooting for director Pandiraj’s ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’, the fans are eagerly waiting for him to begin ‘Vaadivaasal’ with director Vetrimaaran soon. Though the film was supposed to begin long back, both Suriya and Vetrimaaran waited for the country to return to normalcy from the COVID19 pandemic and then got busy with their other projects soon after.
With Suriya wrapping up the shooting of Pandiraj’s ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ recently, it was expected that he would begin the much awaited ‘Vaadivaasal’. But director Vetrimaaran is still busy with his upcoming film ‘Viduthalai’ with Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. Now, the latest is that actor Suriya and director Vetrimaaran will begin shooting for ‘Vaadivaasal’ only by mid of next year.

Reports are that, having completed the shooting for director Pandiraj’s film, actor Suriya is likely move on to his next project, which was the recently announced film with his favorite director Bala. The cast and crew for the film is being finalised and the team is expected to begin the project in Decemeber, 2021.

The story of Vaadivaasal revolves around Picchi getting a chance to take revenge at Chellaiyi festival organised in Periyapatti and it was buzzed earlier that Suriya might end up playing both son and father. The film produced by Kalaipuli Thanu is based on the novel titled Vaadivaasal by Tamil writer CS Chellappa.
