Tamil director-actor RNR Manohar passed away in a Chennai hospital earlier today due to ill health. He was 54. He is best known for his work as a director in the movie ‘Maasilamani’, which also happens to be his debut. The film had Nakul and Sunaina in the lead roles. RNR Manohar was last in Arya-starrer ‘Teddy’, in which he played Sayyesha’s father.
Reports are that he had been suffering from corona and had been receiving treatment at a private hospital for the past 20 days. He had apparently passed away at 8.30 am today.

RNR Manohar started his career by assisting KS Ravikumar in films like Band Master and Suriyan Chandran. After making his directorial debut with ‘Maasilamani’ in 2009, his second directorial was ‘Vellore Maavattam’ in 2011, a police drama starring Nandha and Poorna in the lead.
Manohar appeared in many movies in which he sometimes made cameo appearances and somewhere was seen supporting the story line of the film. Some films are Kallazhagar, Dhill, Sutta Pazham, Ya Ya, Veeram, etc.

He will be seen in Vishal’s ‘Veeramae Vaagai Soodum’ directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan. The shooting of the action drama has been completed more than a month ago, and the post-production work has been going on briskly.
