The directorial debut of Lokesh Kanakaraj’s ‘Managaram’ which was released in 2017, is now being remade in Hindi. Titled ‘Mumbaikar’, it will be directed by Santhosh Sivan starring Vikrant Massey, Hridhu Haroon and Tanya Maniktala playing the roles of Sri, Sandeep Krishnan and Regina Cassandra respectively.

Vijay Sethupathy who is making his Bollywood debut through ‘Mumbaikar’ by playing the role of Munishkanth has completed the final dubbing process for the film.

Mumbaikar will narrate the story which is based on the life of the people residing in Mumbai and how their life takes a turn including their happiness, drama, romance, fun which interlinks them with other characters.

‘Managaram’ is a Tamil movie based on the hyperlink between the different characters having Regina’s role constantly throughout. The entire film was shot in a span of 46 days. Director Lokesh Kanakaraj also received the award of Best Debut Director in 2018 from a reputed private media company.
