Akshay Kumar’s last release, Bell Bottom, hit the theatres on August 19. It’s the first big feature film that went for a theatrical release since the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic led to the closure of cinemas again. Now, the film has been screened at the world’s highest mobile theatre in Ladakh. Akshay shared a special message about it.

AKSHAY KUMAR SAYS HIS HEART SWELLS WITH PRIDE

Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom managed to pull the audience back into the theatres. The film has now been screened at world’s highest mobile theatre in Ladakh. Sharing his feelings about the special screening, Akshay shared the theatre’s photo and wrote on Twitter, “Makes my heart swell with pride that BellBottom was screened at World’s highest mobile theatre at Leh in Ladakh. At an altitude of 11562 ft, the theatre can operate at -28 degrees C. What an amazing feat (sic)!”

Bell Bottom is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. Set in the 80s, the film is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm back then. Akshay plays a RAW agent in the film, while Vaani Kapoor plays his wife. Lara Dutta essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Huma Qureshi is also seen in a pivotal role in Bell Bottom. Bell Bottom is the first film to start and finish shooting during the coronavirus pandemic.

AKSHAY KUMAR’S UPCOMING FILMS

Akshay Kumar has many films lined up. He will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The film also stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role, and will feature cameos by Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn. Akshay also has Raksha Bandhan with Bhumi Pednekar and in Atrangi Re with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in the pipeline. Besides these, he will be seen in Ram Setu with Nushrat Bharucha and Jacqueline Fernanadez.
