Most Indians have dreamed of meeting superstar Amitabh Bachchan at least once in their lifetime. But so what if you could never meet him, you can now you can talk to him using your Alexa-powered devices. Amazon has announced that India’s first celebrity voice featuring Amitabh Bachchan is available starting today. The Indian users can add Bachchan’s voice to their Echo smart displays and speakers by pressing the mic icon on the Amazon shopping app. Notably, the feature is available to the Android app only.

To enable the feature on your Echo devices, you will have to pay an introductory price of Rs 149 per year. You can simply give a command saying, “Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan” to make the purchase and then interact with him using the wake word “Amit Ji”. At only Rs 149, you will have access to handpicked content by Amitabh Bachchan. You can listen to stories from his life, a selection of poems by his father, tongue twisters, motivational quotes, and more.

Additionally, users can also ask “Amit Ji” to play songs for them, set alarms and get weather updates. For general information, shopping updates and more, there is Alexa. You can give commands in Hindi saying, “Amit Ji, Silsila ke gagne bajaiye”, “Amit Ji, recite Madhushala.” Not just that, you can also ask Amitabh Bachchan to wish you on your birthday by saying, “Amit ji, it’s my birthday”.

Here is how you can add Amitabh Bachchan’s voice on the Amazon app

— Give command saying “Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan” and listen to the instructions

— After asking Alexa to introduce you to Bachchan, make the purchase following the instructions.

— Then say “Alexa, enable Amit ji wake word” on Echo devices to enable this feature

— Go to your Amazon app on Android and tap on the Alexa section

— Go to the Alexa section in the settings tab and enable “Amit ji” wake word

— Once you have enabled the wake word, you can ask Amit Ji to play songs, recite dialogues.

Notably, you can interact with Amit Ji in Hindi and English. To change the language, go to the device settings on your Alexa app or just say “Alexa, speak in Hindi” to your Echo device.
