Delhi Metro to introduce QR code-based smartphone
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in a bid to make travel hassle-free for passengers is planning to introduce a smartphone-based payment system for payments, reported TOI.
Passengers who want to use the Bharat QR code must download the application on their mobiles to pay for the journey. After the download, passengers or individuals can link their respective bank account with the app and generate a QR code
Apart from that, DMRC officials have already started the project termed as ‘Dream Gates’ and two entry points at Lal Qila Metro station and two other exit points at Jama Masjid metro station in 2017.
