While smartphone enthusiasts waited for the Poco M4 Pro following the company’s announcement of a launch event, Poco has surprised its fan base with a new lineup for the day. The Android smartphone maker has shared that a new phone will mark its debut on November 9, a refreshed version of its much-loved Poco F3.

Poco made the surprise announcement through a recent tweet. A poster image in the tweet shares that the Poco F3 will be coming back on the day of the upcoming Poco launch. This means a refreshed version of the smartphone is on its way to Poco’s global markets.

The original Poco F3 model was launched earlier this year. It is expected that the new Poco F3 will come with slight upgrades in its processing capability, camera and possibly battery or charging rate. Though it may not feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. As hinted by Poco Global head Kevin Qiu in a recent interview with Android Authority, the company is not too keen on the Snapdragon 888 due to its high-power consumption.

Poco has not shared any details about the new phone as yet. Though we can have a look at the existing Poco F3 to have an idea of what’s to come. The device came out as a rebranded Redmi K40 back in March this year. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset that comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

There is a 120Hz AMOLED display with a FHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) resolution and this might be a constant on the new Poco F3 as well. What we also might see is Dolby Atmos support, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and fingerprint sensor along with face unlock.

What might see an upgrade is the 33W fast charging support on the Poco F3. The triple-lens camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens may also have new sensors to boast of. All this will be confirmed at the Poco launch tomorrow.

Of course, the launch event will be focused on another Poco phone. Poco M4 Pro will mark its debut on the day, and is likely to come as a rebranded Redmi Note 11, the most recent Redmi smartphones launched in China last month. In case that turns out to be true, the Poco M4 Pro will come with an FHD+ display, a MediaTek processor and up to 8GB RAM. With these specifications, the Poco device is sure to be a much-sought smartphone once out in the markets.
