Allu Arjun, who will soon resume shooting for Pushpa post lockdown 2021, unveiled a new poster of the film on Tuesday (August 3). Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Pushpa-The Rise, which is Part 1 of the film, will release in theatres on Christmas (December 25).

ALLU ARJUN’S PUSHPA-THE RISE TO RELEASE ON CHRISTMAS

Allu Arjun, who recently sent out a strong message against smoking, unveiled a new poster from Pushpa-The Rise. Touted to be part 1 of the instalment, the film is directed by Sukumar. The film was set to release in theatres on August 13. However, the makers postponed the release date due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The film will now release in theatres on Christmas (December 25).

Sharing the happy news, Allu Arjun wrote, “Pushpa – The Rise to release in five languages this Christmas (sic).”

ALL ABOUT PUSHPA-THE RISE

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa-The Rise stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, who is a smuggler of red sandalwood. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in the film, while Fahadh Faasil will portray the antagonist. Pushpa-The Rise narrates the story of Pushpa and the unusual heist of red sandalwood, a rare, protected species of timber that grows in Andhra Pradesh. The pan-India film is slated for release in theatres on December 25. It has background score by the Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty and music by Devi Sri Prasad.
