CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 are likely to be conducted after all. In the high level meeting called by MoE, most of the states were in favour of exams. Final decision on CBSE exam dates, format by June 1.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 are likely to be conducted as most of the states have favoured conducting examinations. As for the dates, no announcement has been made as yet. As per sources, the Class 12 exams are likely to be conducted between July 15 and August 25.

A high-level meeting was conducted on Sunday between the centre and the states. Union Education Minister as well as Education Ministers from all the states were present in the meeting. As per the official report, most of the states were in favour of conducting the exams. Sources also told PTI that the exams are likely to be conducted between July 15 and August 26.

The final decision, however, is likely only by June 1. The centre has asked the state governments to consider the options presented and deliberate on the same. The final feedback is to be submitted to the centre by May 25. Once the consensus is received, the board and Ministry of Education would analyse the same and announce the final decision. Complete Report on CBSE 12th Board Exam 2021 High Level Meeting

CBSE Board Exams 2021 – 2 options for Class 12 exams

The board has offered two options for conducting the exams. While CBSE has decided to conduct exams only of 19 major subjects, it may do so in two manners.

  1. Exams at notified centers
  2. Conducting shorter duration exams of 90 mins instead of 3 hours at the respective schools where students are enrolled.

As per sources, the examinations proposed would be conducted in two phases. If a student is unable to attend the exam in Phase 1, then he/she would be able to appear for the exam in phase 2. If conditions are conducive, the Phase 1 is proposed between July 15 to Ausgut 2 and the second phase from August 8 to August 26. The result, as per the board, can be declared within 15 days. 

Most of the states were in the favour of second option while some even favoured a mix of two. A few states like Delhi, Maharashtra and Kerala asked for vaccination of students before examination. All eyes are now at the Education Ministry and the final decision which is now expected by June 1.
