Apple’s next iPhone 13 series is expected to be launched in the third week of September. Earlier, it was being predicted that the iPhone 13 series will arrive in the second week, but now it seems like Apple has pushed the launch date. Apple has always launched its iPhones in September but the iPhone 12 launch was delayed due to the pandemic. However, this time Apple is certainly not eyeing an October launch.

Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives told MacRumours that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 13 in the third week of September. “Our recent Asia supply chain checks for 2H put iPhone builds between 130M-150M. The iPhone 13 appears to represent 35%-45% of iPhone builds in Q3, this positive outlook gives us enhanced confidence that 2021’s launch timing will be “normal”. From a timing perspective, we believe the current iPhone 13 launch is slated for the third week in September,” his note read.

Apple has always released its new iPhones in September but last year Apple could not follow its own trend. iPhone 12 was launched a month later due to the coronavirus pandemic-related issue. Apple could launch the iPhone 13 on either September 7, September 14 or September 21.

Apart from the launch date, Ives also talked about the storage capacity of the upcoming iPhone 13 series. He asserted that the iPhon3 13 series may include a 1TB storage option, but that would only be limited to the pro models. Currently, 512GB is the highest storage option that is being offered by Apple. It is also available to the iPhone 12 Pro models. If Ives’ prediction comes true, iPhone 13 series could get double the current storage capacity offered by Apple.

Previously, a report by Trendforce had revealed that the iPhone 13 series could feature bigger batteries and may be similarly priced to the iPhone 12 series. “As for retail prices, the iPhone 13 series is expected to remain similar to the iPhone 12 series,” the report stated.

The Trendforce report also stated that since the devices will not come with significant hardware upgrades, the manufacturing cost will be less. About the specifications, the report mentioned that the iPhone 13 series would come with a flexible charging circuit and this has got to do a lot with the iPhone’s battery. Trend force has predicted that iPhone 13 series would feature bigger batteries than the iPhone 12 series.
