‘Maanaadu’ starring Silambarasan was released a few days back after facing a lot of struggles. However, the film had finally hit the theatres on the planned date, and it has been doing a monstrous collection at the box office. But it seems it’s not the same for the makers as in a recent interview, Suresh Kamatchi has explained about the ‘Maanaadu’ business and shared that ‘Maanaadu’ has turned out to be a profitable venture for all distributors and rights holders. But the film did not gain profit for the producer because Silambarasan’s last film didn’t do well at the box office.

Suresh Kamatchi described that a film’s business is always based on the box collection of the actor’s previous film. But ‘Maanaadu’ is a successful one, and as a producer, Suresh Kamatchi feels happy for producing winning content. He has also added that Silambarasan’s next film ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ will be a profitable project for the producer.

‘Maanaadu’ has reportedly grossed more than Rs.50 crore worldwide, and the film continues to hold a good number of screens in its second week. ‘Maanaadu’, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu, features Silambarasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and SJ Suryah in main roles, and the film’s music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
