AU Vice-Chancellor resigned as Chairman of Admissions

Anna University has liberated itself from conducting annually engineering counselling due to disagreements with higher education authorities.

Anna University Vice-Chancellor M.K.Surappa was the Chairman of Tamil Nadu Engineering Study Admission Committee. Meanwhile, Higher Education Divisional Secretary Mangat Ram Sharma, who has been working as a member of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Committee, has declared himself a coordinator of the committee.

In protest, Anna University Vice-Chancellor M.K Surappa resigned from the position of Chairman of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Committee and Head of Tamil Nadu Public Maternity Student Committees. He also sent his resignation letter to the Higher Education Secretariat.
