Delhi recorded 85 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, the city’s lowest single-day spike in 2021. The case positivity rate in the national capital dropped to 0.12 per cent.

The active caseload in Delhi now stands at 1,598, lowest since March 3.

The city also registered nine fatalities on Saturday, taking the death toll to 24,961.

The national capital saw 158 discharges in the past 24 hours, taking total recoveries to 14,07,116. The recovery rate in the city stood at 98.14 per cent for the second consecutive day.

Currently, 494 patients are recovering from the virus in home isolation.

A total of 72,920 samples were tested for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. Of these, 50,839 were RT-PCR tests, while 22,081 were antigen tests. So far 2,12,03,679 samples have been tested in Delhi for the virus.

As many as 1,817 containment zones have been notified in the city in a bid to break the chain of transmission of infection.
