Adoctor and a manager have been arrested in Tamil Nadu’s Karur for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in a hospital.

Dr Rajinikant, a popular orthopaedic doctor working at GC Hospital in Karur, allegedly sexually harassed the girl, who is the daughter of a woman employee of the hospital.

The 37-year-old woman, who worked in the accounts division, filed a complaint at the Karur all-women police station on November 13 alleging that her daughter was sexually harassed by Dr Rajinikant.

TEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED IN HOSPITAL

The complaint also stated that the girl was taken to the doctor by Saravanan, a manager at the hospital.

Based on the investigation, police filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against Dr Rajinikant and Saravanan. While Saravanan was nabbed immediately by the police, Dr Rajinikant was in hiding.

Based on a tip-off about his whereabouts, Dr Rajinikant was later arrested. He has been remanded to the Karur jail for 15 days.
