On Sunday night in Tondiarpet a middle aged man fell right on top of a four – year – old girl and she was critically injured .Dhanyashri,was walking with her grandfather to a grocery shop nearby and when they were about to step into shop  when Siva ,30 living on the second floor above the departmental stores fell on top of her. According to police suspects Siva must have been in an inebriated condition and  fell through a gap in the grill door on the balcony.The girl was rushed to Apollo hospitals in Tondiarpet.The critical child was later moved to the main hospital on Greams road. The kid was under sedation and her condition would be reassessed after 48 hours. Siva suffered only a fracture on his left leg as his fall was broken by the child.Dhanyashri is the second daughter of the couple and they have another daughter who is seven years old .The police have registered a case  against Siva under Section 338 of the IPC (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) based on a complaint from the girl’s father. The person can be arrested only after he becomes alright.
