The  City’s Deputy Mayor Mahesh Kumar and six other names have been included by the city’s police in a case for allegedly forging a dead person’s signature related to a claim over a private property. Dhivakaran, Balamurugan, Selvaraj , TamilNadu  Government Minister  Periyakaruppan’s son –in –law P.Gunasekaran and the deceased Mohan was a shareholder in a private organization “Mars Mines”.  Mohan passed away on April 26 2021 due to Renal failure. The deceased ‘s wife Esakiammal said her husband fell ill in 2019. Esakiammal alleged that Deputy Mayor Mahesh Kumar and others began to take over the company after his death . She said many complaints have been lodged in the station against the Deputy Mayor regarding this. She said that documents were forged to show that her husband was alive. His signature was also a forged one. Finally after approaching the Saidapet Court, the Chennai Police’s Central Crime Branch (CCB) has registered the case.
