For the past few days  many parts of India has been receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall . Many states like  Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have been receiving heavy to  very heavy rainfall warning by  Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) . As per IMD bulletin “Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand during next five days .” Till July 5 in Uttarakhand torrential rain has been predicted. In coming days moderate to heavy rains in Dehradun and Uttarakhand is possible so a yellow alert has been issued. Mr. Bikram Singh the Director of Meteorological department has appealed to avoid train travel. In view of heavy rains Uttarakhand administration is on alert.  In sensitive disaster areas and along the Amaranth Yatra route National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and  State Disaster Response Force (SDRF)  teams have been deployed said V Murugesan, Additional Director General of police (ADG) Law and Order . Orange alert has been issued in eight districts of the state citing heavy rainfall. On June 28th and 29th thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh is expected by the weather department. Tourists are restricted  from entering into seas and other waterbodies. The relief and rescue operations have been going on in full swing . Union Government has been requested by Himachal Minister to speed up.
