In Himachal Pradesh’s  Subathu district  on Wednesday there was a cloudburst.  Residents saw the  debris and water gushing into the region with the residents fearing about the house collapse. There was a washaway of vehicles. In the midst of rains , the road was blocked . Traffic movement in the road was blocked in several areas due to current situation.  A bridge got collapsed in the Baddi area because the water level  in Balad river got increased drastically .  The connectivity of the industrial area in Baddi with Haryana and Chandigarh  was this bridge that got collapsed. So traffic had to be regulated by the Police near Chandigarh road . The weather department has issued a red alert in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand  since heavy rain continued to lash from tuesday.  In eight districts of Himachal Pradesh very heavy rainfall to isolated spells of extremely heavy rainfall has been predicted. Due to heavy rainfall from tuesday many districts in Uttarakhand have received  a red alert. The districts are Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar. Other districts in the state have got yellow alert. On Wednesday and Thursday educational institutions will remain closed.
