Prime Minister Narendra Modi & US President Joe Biden released a joint statement on Wednesday as a part of Modi’s three day visit to United States . Former US President Barack Obama in an interview said that “ protection of muslim minorities in India “ should have been mentioned during his talks with PM Modi. Obama said if he had a conversation he would have spoken about the rights of ethnic minorities if they were not protected. “If I had a conversation with Mr Modi – who I know well – part of my argument would be that if you do not protect the rights of ethnic minorities in India, then there is a strong possibility India at some point starts pulling apart. And we have seen what happens when you start getting those kinds of large internal conflicts. That would be contrary to the interests of India,” he said in an interview with CNN. PM Modi said in India there is no space for discrimination. “Democracy runs in our veins” was said by Modi in reply to the reporter question about the minorities rights in India . PM Modi had a state dinner hosted by Biden arranged only for the closest allies of United States. Modi mentioned about the presence of Indian citizen in most sectors of United States like hotels, IDT firms, medical, labs.
